right, i have a pair of metal hubbed tuffs with a casette freewheel. a pair of front ??? plastic hubbed tuffs, i know there are alloy hubbed, i have a pair which is plastic front and coaster rear, there are graphites and campy versions of graphs.
Are there other variations? like metal hubs but a normal freewheel, alloy hubbs with or without casette etc... it's all a bit confusing. even the shape of the hubs seem to change. Who as the info on the mighty tuff?? come on, spill them tuff beans.
john :)

I've got some metal hubbed with a suntour coaster if that adds to your list John. Anyone know when they went from the flat metal hubs to the alloy?

There's...........................big ones, little ones, massive ones, round ones, steel ones, alloy ones, plastic ones, mixture ones, freewheel ones, coaster ones, freehub ones, graphite ones, campy ones, black ones, white ones, yellow ones, blue ones, red ones, green ones, orange ones, lavender ones, grey ones, baby blue ones, pink ones, loose ones, sealed ones, flip flop, ones ... three spoke, five spoke, six spoke, H spoke
I'm out of breath .......... :crazy2: :LolLolLolLol:
-
one's as big as your head.
-
Got any new school NOS ones ? :LolLolLolLol:
-
don't forget the six spokers
oh and those glorious 3 spoke things that skyway made when they should have been making a TA 10 year anniversary model
-
And the crappy looking O.E.M. or has Moose already had that one.....
-
I used to have a set of first gen TuffIIs with the steel hub, they had 79 painted on the inside of the rim.
Then they changed the hub to alloy (with suntour coaster)
Then they changed the front to the plastic type but still kept the alloy rear
Then both changed to plastic
now they are plastic but with sealed bearings
That's how i remember them.....could be wrong though :-\

Email Skyway themselves , I'm sure they'd be happy to reply, they certainly don't seem like faceless corporate types who don't give a hoot....

Didn't they also make some for Raleigh too?
