Fecking lovely dude. Glad you kept it in the end, it's a sweet bike. :daumenhoch:
Nice colour combo, if your interested in putting a black chainring on, I've got a NOS 44t Profile SS (like the whippet but thicker) in annodised black if you facny a swap.
Again, sweet as dude.
:daumenhoch:

i like's an S&M i do's, and that is a beauty mate :daumenhoch:
-
Lookin great. Im really glad you kept it all together, would have been a shame for the yellow parts to get split. Even better that you kept it all for yourself.
Nice one!
-
I have a s&m seat clamp from this time period ... £9 shipped.
They started using these generic single bolt clamps that looked similar to old tuf neck seat clamps.

I might be interested in the S&M seat clamp if darkersomeday dont want it.
Could you post some pics? What size is it?

Is this for sale on ebay?

i love building and tinkering with these bikes but once theyre finished they are of little interest to me,
i'm just not one for having bikes lined up, some people love it though, fair do's :daumenhoch:

Hmmmmmm not sure i could if he'd said the same about my family mate :-\
but he didn't so i have no beef with him as such.........just not very nice thats all.
-
a lot of not nice things were said on that black weekend
-
i know mate.....and i know you get on well with him.....like i say i've no personal beef with him at all, but i can understand where Zed is coming from. If i were him i'd be the same i have to say.
But love and peace to all.....it's all about BMX :daumenhoch:
-
This is great: A DSD conflict thread, and the man himself aint even said a word.
Now THAT is some kind of special power!
-
and i know you get on well with him
:D
he said i should not be a moderator as i am a bully, etc etc
i respect his opinions though. everyone has the right to say their piece, as far as i am concerned
and i would rather that people vent their anger at me, instead of other members.

thats a fine ass challenger, looks tough in all black, uncannily similar to what are termed "new shool frames"
i rode a s&m race version frame for a while and it was almost identical to the challenger,
great all round bike,
is the holmes you have a 1/18th a-head version?
-
.......
-
i think mine is a challenger frame.
i cant remember lol.

-
yes sir thats a challenger for definite, the later race frame was the rv(race version) and they didnt make a u-brake version, that was the tv frame(trailversion)
nice build, love the black :smitten:
-
zed, dsd, if you guys got an issue with each other, keep it off the forum please, do it by pm, email, or phone, just not on rad.....thanks guys
Dave
-
If I bought a new school race bike gain I'd love one of those Challengers. DSD your bike is absolute art.
-
DSD your bike is absolute art.
thats kind of you mate , thanks,
i cant take all the credit though, i had a lot of help and advice from ALL corners of the radforum,
for an old bike it got an very healthy 4 pages on bikeguide,
alot of folk said it should have s&m slams on instead of the castillo's,
i've got some slams i was thinking of having done to match the frame but my local coaters will give me shit for such a small job!
should i go the slams route?
would the powdercoat guy on here be able to do them by post?
superbikedan?
i have the ral code for it,
-
what year challenger is that and I really like it I have one from about the same time just different brakes
both my holmes are 1in just the black and blue challenger is the new style

1, Def get some slams on there. Ive got no problem with the castillo's but slams would be way better.
2, Superbike dan for all your powder needs! Ive got a frame that I am thinking about getting done yellow so maybe we should get your bars done at the same time to make it easier. You can post them to me and I will sort it out from here. It might be just the excuse I need to get my frame done yellow, (and just the excuse I need to meet Dan at Rom one Sunday morning!)
-
That is fookin lovely that is :daumenhoch: I am really getting into S&M stuff now thanks to Alex and the fact i now got one coz the FBM i ordered was damaged.

FBM, F-it, S&M, all great frames and great companies.
-
Thats what i thought until i saw the FBM i had ordered!! Even the bloke in the shop said it was shite. Basically the frame had gone rusty and thay had sprayed over the top of it :idiot2:
-
That first picture is fekin brill !
Sweet ride :4_17_5:
