ridebmxmag always describes frames as ddht - double diamond hard tail
what is a hard tail?
-
no suspension on the rear ;)

no suspension on the rear ;)
so bmx's are described as ddht when they have no suspension on the rear?
that can not be right
-
hard tail is, as he says, no sussie's
-
so when is a bmx ever not ht?
what a stupid fooking phrase
i knew "ht" meant that in mountainbikes, but it bore no relevance to bmx so i figured it must stand for something else
-
I think that ddht, as a description of a general frame design, has come about since rear suspension (on MTBs). BMX's fall into that category, and almost always do (maybe not always double diamond) and its just a nice way of saying it.
-
i prefer sussies on >:D

Told you :yahoo_silent:

thats a relief mate :LolLolLolLol:

hard tail means a shock on the front and none on the rear,a bmx would be classed as fully rigid, like a mountain bike with no suspension.

Anybody ever see those all silver 'BMXs' from the 80s wth cast alloy mags, 5 spd deraillerururue gears and a dynamo??? :wtf:????
I fink they were some kind of German import sold in catalogues
'Hee you are son, get that, it's only 15 quid more than an ammoco and it's got a dynamo and gears!'
Thanks Dad; lIt looks totally SH#TE and weighs more than USS Nimitz! (He was, however, right about that saddle though...)

Mountain bikes killed bmx, fooking ATB shite :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

Personally if i had to hazard a guess i would say it came from the motorcycle industry at the dawn of BMX.
