When did they start making these so I can tell if they are era correct for my ride?
-
I'm guessing they started making the 901's in 1985. My 901's are stamped August 85 on the back of them......I also have the original lever and it too has the exact same date stamped into it as well.
-
There's an advert in BMX Action April '85 for them.......
-
it was 1985 for sure.
end of 85 for the fs880's
-
where does it say the age on the 901s...
-
Thats great, looks like I'm after some MX 1000 Lol ::)

If you look closely on the back of both the left and right brake arms you will see a series of numbers with the production year stamped in the middle. Mine are stamped '85'.

Late ,late 84 :daumenhoch:

Are they too late to fit on an MRD to be era correct? Suppose MRD's were made from late 83 onwards so could be ok?
-
guess it depends on how much ya can afford,
same for me, i need MX1000's in BLUE, but may have to make do with MX901's ? :(

All the DC MX 901 I've had were (are ) stamped 1985. They came late 84. For a MRD, they the correct era. I remember and still have a RMD test in a French BMX Magazine in 1985 and the rear brake was a DC MX 901.
Regards.
