I can make some out of Balsa for a reasonable price...

they may be a teensy bit unreliable though.  ;D

why would u need to make a set  ??? unless u want a custom style set??

A friend of mine used to make bars and sell them. He might still be able to make some as he works in a tube bending and welding kind of place. What is it you want that you'd have to get them made? Bike parts are so cheap now and there are so many sizes of bars, I wouldnt be sure it would be worth doing.
