Post by: gt0733 on April 13, 2007, 08:00 AM
here's a diamondback medium pro that me and my son put together today.

i couldn't believe how light it was when it was finished.
i'll get some better pics one day and stick it in the museum.

thanks fellas. this would be a very nice racer for a normal sized 13 year old. it's a bit small for older folk.
here's quick run down:

1981 db medium pro F/F set
db formula 1 bars
raleigh ? stem
fuan grips
haro tech plate
tange aw-27 head set
suntour lock
alloy fluted post
generic alloy clamp
aero seat
shimano dx lever
shimano tourney caliper (self centreing mechanism)
sumo rims
kt hubs
genuine comp 3 tyres 2.125 front, 1.75 rear
shimano dura ace cranks
kkt lightning pedals
izumi 1/8 chain
genuine db rad pads

hardest piece of the puzzle were the pads.

How easy are the skinwall Comp 3's to get down under?

the 1.75's were from rudewheels (in pom) and the 2.125's were fought for on the US ebay  8)

the killer is the postage costs. they do come up on aussy ebay occasionally but go for silly money.

yes i know what you're saying. it's funny how we associate certain colours for certain brands.
