Title: Dyno VFR.... what's it made of?
Post by: MCSMagnum on April 19, 2007, 02:17 PM
Hi.....

Managed to find an early 90's Dyno VFR for cheap.... seems an ideal way to get back into riding, looks like it might make a half decent racer.... It's quite a cool classic looking frame, interesting shaped rear dropouts, with the top stay kinda running over the wheel slot....

I've been trying to find what it's made of, but there's not a lot about them on the web.... so is it 4130 throughout? main tubes? or made out of scaffold pole? I seem to remember some dyno's being pretty cheap at that time, but have no handle on what the product lineup was....

Hope someone can help, Mike

Answer my own question....

it's hi-ten steel..... still quite a pretty frame though.... back to the search for something cheap but nice.....
