Have a look at this auction
http://cgi.ebay.com/old-school-skyway-TA-frame_W0QQitemZ7192359278QQcategoryZ64644QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
The thing to notice is how much he will charge overseas bidders as a "packing" charge. Apparently, if you're shipping from the US, it will cost you 25 bucks for him to do exactly the same thing that he'll have to do to send it internally within the US. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer for my TA then!

Hi...
I think that you may have been slightly missled by the info on the US T/A.
I read it as - $20 shipping US, or $20 + $25 Postage Elsewhere, so = $45 in total (which is still fairly cheap), so just another way to give postage costs but by being lazy (he has not written it well i'll agree).
Hope this helps.

I will ship over seas USPS ( paypal only) but to get it to you I charge an extra 25 for packing and will get the shipping cost to you the day after. Thank you for looking
Nope, he definitely says he will charge an extra $25 for packing and will then get shipping costs!

Hi
Yes, it does look like he is pulling one - unless he means he will get costs and then refund?
But by looking at this and the typo's - Seller's return policy:
Return Policy Details: I will work with you if somthing is wrong. I try to discribe my items as best as I can . But if it is a gross miss leading detale I left out Iwill refund you your mony plus shipping cost after I have recived the item back. Iwill not refund items back damaged from the shipper. Inclued INS of a 100 US dollers ship by UPS. If the buyer wants more them 100 ins it will be 1 doller per a hundred more please added on to the shipping cost.
It seems a shame that such a bike should be in their hands :(

Mr Toad, I am with Retro and Sub on this, the bloke is after a $25 for nothing and therefore is a turd.

Lol. Such a way with words ;D

i just had a frame and fork come over from the states.
the packing really was quite special. cable tied in, a bar between the rear drops, stiff foam glued in to hold the box's shape. and the box was inside another box, then loads of tape. cost me 60 dollars though, got it in 5 days.
maybe thats what he would do, to make sure the frame is good for the long haul. whereas posting it "locally" in the us would just be a case of putting it in a box with some bubble wrap.

I asked.
Do I read your auction correct? $25 extra for Packaging if you are outside the USA? Are you for real, what difference does it make where you are? you still have to pack it up?? ................ Blah Blah....
He said.
I guess you have ship a lot of frames over seas in the past….. I have. I get many more bidders on my items for the buyer’s know there one of a kind item is pack right and will not be destroyed. Please inform me when you are selling an item to make sure I never buy an item from you.
Thank you

doesn't matter where it's being sent...it should still be packed well....
