..alot.. :smitten:
Some of you will be aware that myself, DaveMac & Gazflair have been involved with Raleigh recently and helped them with their 25th Anniversary Team Aero Pro bike.
Well the guys who have been running this project at Raleigh, Simon and Mike, came along to the Burner Bash on Saturday to support us and brought along the 'Prototype' of the bike for the guys to see.. they also brought along their NEW 2007 Race Bike as well.

They also brough the three of us a suprise gift as part of their thank you for our input and help in getting the bike completed.
A Frame each...

but they have personalised Serial No's....

They also supplied us with a frame to commemorate the Burner Bash.. but that's another story... :buck2: :idiot2: :uglystupid2:

Hey Zippy! We're thinking of starting a new topic "MUD, Good or Bad? Discuss" I personally think a fine bike like that should be built up and ridden in anger :2gunsfiring_v1: :tickedoff: :knuppel2:
But that's just my opinion ::)
-
Sam, who you gonna get to ride it in anger?? cos it couldnt possibly be you :2funny:

I agree in principal that all these bikes were made to be raced and abused. However there are occasions when you build something that you just want to look at and never ride because then the magic is broken. It was great to see some nice classic bikes being riden in anger at the Hersden round of the summer series. All my bikes except one are and will be riders. Even my new holy grail aquisition will be a rider and possibly a racer too. :daumenhoch:
-
nice 1 mate, how cool to have your own personalised bike
-
Wow.
You gotta be pleased with that Beard!!!!
Nice touch from Raleigh - big respect.
Looking forward to getting my Aero Pro later this month!

Myself, DaveMac & Gaz were blown away... :D :D
And then at the end of the day, Simon from Raleigh turns rounds and says.. "Can you take the two bikes home with you and look after them for a bit... I don't have room to get them back to Raleigh HQ"... :buck2:
eeerr.... okay then..... :coolsmiley:
Get in that Van before he changes his mind...

They are struggling to find White Brake pads anywhere... :-\ only supplier they found would only do a minimum order of 3000 pairs!!
So as it stands they are coming with Grey Pads... :P
As for the prototype... If and when they manage to get it out of my garage.... I doubt it will be for sale... I think the guys behind the project are gonna keep it.
But for now... its being protected...
