Title: Help needed - payment in Germany
Post by: Frosty on May 08, 2007, 10:01 AM
I have won an auction, and as seems to be the norm the seller doesn't use paypal and wants a money transfer. That is no problem except that the fees from my bank Natwest are something in the order of £35-40 to facilitate this :tickedoff:

Assuming that money transfers within the German banking system would not generate the rip off fees that occur here, is there anyone here who I can paypal the money to (plus their fees of course) and have them pass the money on to my seller?

Or if anyone knows an alternative way I can deliver the funds to his account please let me know.

Thanks

Paul

it costs me 8 euro's to transfer money, you need the BIC and IBAN. Your bank is taking the piss, inside the E.U. it should never cost more than a tenner, and there are rules about this!

Just been back into the bank, the £30 is for next day, but drops to a tenner for 5 working days, still a rip off though!!!

I usually pay cash and send registered post, but this normally works out around £7 anyway so in future I may use the bank and pay the tenner  :-\
