Title: hersden riders please read.
Post by: jazzyje on May 10, 2007, 07:23 PM
ok this is the deal.if the weather that is forcast sunday is still predicted by saturday afternoon we will be cancelling the race sunday.its no fun in the wet so we will save it for another day.the track is in good condition at the moment precisely because we hav'nt rode it in the wet and thats the way we want it to stay.we have plenty of time at the end of the season to reschedule and this sort of thing was considered when we planned the dates.
check back here teatime saturday for a defo decision.obviously if it looks like it'll be ok we will race but just to forwarn you of the possibility of cancellation.
apoligies in advance as i know many of you will have had arguments with you wag's already.cheers,justin.

Doesn't look good for tomorrow does it, I've just seen the forecast and it's rain, wind, and then more rain.

The bugger of it is that Royston is bloody miles away as well :(

Not that far up,
From the A1 turn off at Baldock, take the A505 to Royston. Turn right at the second roundabout (A1198 junction) or from the M11 turn off at Duxford onto the A505 to Royston and turn left at the second roundabout. After the A505 roundabout, travel 100m and straight over the roundabout by the superstore. Continue 100m to the next roundabout and turn left into Burns Road signposted to school and Community Centre. Pass the school on the left to the roundabout and turn right. The track entrance is the first left 5m after the road island. The track is usually signed by small green/yellow BMX stickers on the road signs.

Beware: It is a very right turn and can only be taken in one by a car. If you have a trailer or large vehicle, follow the road round past the Community and Health Centres to the bus turn round area, then come back to the track entrance.

mind with half the ingredients being swapped today
ie normal not brown sugar
and plain white not wholemeal flour

they still turned out right nice

Bummer - Oh well at least I can watch the grand prix

Was looking forward to racing in the mud but it's Justin's call so fair enough.  After all it's not us who have to resurface and roller the track.

Next one June 9th ?

Chris

Had a session at Charlton with Muttley, SuperFly and Trill instead, so still got to ride.

It was definitely the correct decision Justin.

Once again our apologies for the cancellation, but if you saw the storm we had at about 2.30 yesterday , you would agree that we did the right thing!
We will find another date for this meeting, maybe looking at September or a night meet in August!
