Title: Mike D is back !
Post by: WizardWeb on July 24, 2005, 11:50 AM: According to this months Ride UK, Mike D is riding again, doing flairs and 'looking for contests'.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a Veteran Pro Class where the likes of DMC, Mike D, Voelker, Fiola and Joe Johnson could compete for fun. I reckon that'd help stop the "Old men on kids bikes" comments that some of us get and let the kids who are getting into it, gain a sense of history.

Who do you reckon would win?

yeah Weston Bob haro could teach the likes of Dmc etc er..... oh yeah a rockwalk maybe or an endo, or perhaps Dmc etc could teach old Bob a flair, tailwhip etc etc

A modern day contst with Bob Haro would be nice for nostalgic reasons but compared to the level of riding nowadays would also be very dull in my opinion

They reckon kids are scared by fthe difficulty of flatland the danger of vert (assuming they have access to a ramp) so it'd be good to see vert riders trying basic flatlnd and vice versa. It was much more fun BITD, more than just grinds, backflips and tailwhips..... ah... memories.... from the corners of my mind.... ;D
