does anyone have or know of; where I can get a set of Rekka headset cups-
that allow you to fit threadless forks to an old style 1" frame?
Any info would be great......Cheers

Try Danscomp is the US. They had them.
-
im pretty sur i got mine from billys bmx give em ring and ask :daumenhoch:

Rekka Phil has been gone so long now, you'll be lucky to find em I reckon, unless they're gathering dust on a shop shelf somewhere. We must have a couple of engineers on site, might be easier to ask them to turn you a set - or maybe more and flog em on?

I was looking to make some FSA impact cups that would fit into a 1" frame, but its going to be tight .....and after measuring allot of frames I realised that allot of frames have different sized 1" headtubes ....
I would get them made, but i dont have the time at present.
-
oh well... I'll just keep looking; but thanks anyway guys.

Have a word with Rombloke, Im sure you can fit 1"1/4 forks into an old skool Frame, I remember seeing someone on here had done it.
-
i've done it before. so has spacefruit
think "round peg square hole . . . "
i put up a how-to thread with pics one time.
-
Yeah, it's a case of mixing and matching the bearings I believe?
-
use the bearings loose from a regular 1" head set (you need about 3 races' worth) and 1" cups and the rest from an aheadset
-
Thats the kidder. Never done it myself, but heard the rumours..... :D

it works ok. you sometimes get a stiff spot if you run a gyro.
but its good for your basic riding.
