These are a few pictures of the trail me and The Red Baron (Dennis Dain) went down a few weeks ago on the hack. Mind you, we had never raced together, we had no helmets, no protection, very little brakes, no practice and no common sense. We probably hit the first corner at 30 miles per hour...:)
First Corner

2nd corner

3d corner

4th corner

and a combo of 2nd 3d and 4th

All corners are rutted as heck and the trail has a couple of rises that will sky you without warning. After the 4th corner is a FAST downhill stretch that we probably hit at 35+
Gentlemen and ladies this was BMX back in the day

The hack is this one. Picture taken last weekend at the Roseville nationals hack race. 17 hacks, 1/4 finals...
and we'll be making another run in a few weeks. Pretty hard core and lots of fun
And believe me, there is pedaling. 48 tooth front sprocket...:)
-
We did a little test-run yesterday. Less traction than last time but still lots of fun.
Day started off bad as I smacked my self in the forehead with a wrench when I was tightening my wheel!
It got much better afterwards

-
It's got to be said Rick, i think these are the first pics i've seen comming out of America that show you guys really getting back to the roots.
Top class mate :daumenhoch:

Bob Hoskins?! The actor from Bury St Edmunds? ...I lived in Bury for a little while (Anyone know Tracy Thornton?) :)
This was way fun but I must say that watching Hack-Master Dennis Dain drive and watching Stu Thomsen bomb that trail makes me realize how much skill those guys still have after 30 years of racing.
Thanks for the comments guys.

Hello there to my fellow BMXers from an old school BMXer in America! Reilley1 told me he had posted our adventures on this site, so I figured I had better check it out.
I would like to introduce myself. I am Dennis Dain, known as "the Red Baron" when I raced back in the 70s. Not sure if anybody over there knows anything about me. I guess it doesn't really matter, does it? :)
If you don't mind, I'll have a look around...

we've seen your bikes dude, and reilleys filled us in on plenty, great great pics, can you put some of that sunshine on ebay :LolLolLolLol: we're seriously lacking good riding weather at the mo, even when its good over here its probably cold enough for you guys to cabin up. keep it real dude :daumenhoch:
