Hi everyone,
Really good news!
Bournemouth club will be holding the next winter regional on the 13th November, which has freed up the available race date of 11th December.
This means that the 1st official race to be held at Dagenham will be a winter regional!
Please all come along, new school old school any school you like!
Bring your mountain bike - bring your wives and children!
Lets give the club the best start anyone could wish for.
Be really great if we could have an old school race on the day too, anyone up for it???
The track is due to be finished within 2 weeks - so should all be up and running in time for the race this time!
I'd really love to see a BIG turnout from the RADBMX crew..
So who's up for it??

I was told that there were about 10 kids riding the track all weekend. (As well as a quad at one stage! Grrrr!)
But NO - the track isn't open yet.
Should be very soon!

How very dare you! What are you saying about the 30+ Terrance, I can still kick your sorry arse. I blame the others around me for any crashes I may have. ;)
I'm can't wait to race BAD. And I'm thinking about getting the 24" safety cycle out and doing two classes.

Dean, I'm sure they won't miss you at Mk for just one meeting. You'll be very welcome at BAD. Anyway, by December the track at MK will probably be under two feet of water and then frozen over!! Humps

Well after all the excited planing, and message posting on the subject the race is now cancelled!
The track builders are apparently running another 4 weeks behind schedule, and the council although admitting the track will definately be finished don't want us to hold a race on the track because the surrounding area will be too muddy!
To say I am p!ssed off is putting it VERY mildly!
Looks like our 1st regional will now be in February, although I really hope to hold at least 1 club/open race before this date.
Obviously I won't post details until I have permission from the council. I have to admit I am now very worried about being able to hold races at the track as the council told us they will give priority to the bowling club, so if they have a meeting planned on one of the days we can fit in with the rest of the region - we will be the ones who have to back down and cancel. They are also worried about us clashing with the football games held in the park! (Not looking good at all!)
I was told my local council was thinking of building a BMX track - anyone fancy joining Basildon And District BMX Club? LOL!

..... and I was out until later in the evening, by which time the lid was off the announcement. Damn shame, but for reasons I posted on BMX Talk and which Rooonga has mentioned earlier without the Council's 'sign off' we're stuffed. All good things come to those that wait - let's just hope that the locals haven't trashed the place before we get to run a meeting there!! Humps
