Title: Removing Shimano SX End Caps
Post by: Paulo on May 24, 2007, 05:32 PM
I want to de-anno my old sx pedals using the oven pride trick...can't wait, so I'm stripping down the pedals.

I'm assuming the first step is to remove the plastic end caps, but they're not budging.

Am I right and is there an easy way of popping the end caps without screwing them up with a screwdriver?

Cheers

A very thin screw driver should pop the caps out ... SX are painted BTW, not anodised  :daumenhoch:

Got the ends off thanks Steve. Because of the grinding wear around the caps ends the burs as it were were holding it in.

Paint it is cause the oven pide did f-all. Right where's that paint stripper? :LolLolLolLol:
