I need the RAL code for a colour that's a close match to GT yellow ... I'm ready to get this powder coated at long last :daumenhoch:

Can anyone help please ;)
Cheers

I've seen this question so many times and never seen an answer for it...it seems no one knows...apart from, I suspect, Biagio knows, it just whether he'll tell ya or not.
It's quite pastel.
-
Yeah, Biagio restored my full size Performer and like you say Dave, the colour is a lighter, more pastel shade :daumenhoch:

Trying to get the RAL code has been a mission so I may have to settle for a close match instead :(

Steve - where are you based mate. We've got a little machine here (somewhere) that you put over the paint, click it and it give you a Pantone reference which you can they cross-reference the RAL colour. I'll try and find it.
-
I'm in Maidstone Dave ... I'll be taking the F+F to Rom soon but Dan needs the RAL code before powder coating

I bought some of the yellow GT Performer bars from Biagio about 18 months ago and the yellow was definitely darker than BITD ( I had a new yellow GT Performer BITD) so I reckon the bars he is selling have been re-powdered. Strangely enough I got a Performer powdercoated in a standard yellow at my local painters and it was an exact match to the bars! (Pic below)
The yellow BITD was definitely a lighter more pastle colour as you can see in the bottom pic compared to the yellow skyways

Beetroot :LolLolLolLol:
Do it Beetroot colour Pete :D

my suggestion would be to take it to a car paint suppliers like brown brothers,
they have hundreds of colour cards just put any of the yellow cards next to the frame
and that should be good enough bought a 1/4 litre today 11 pounds and would do at least
two frames :daumenhoch:

I cannot comment on the F&F that he has done for people, but certainly the bars I bought from him were darker than the original
-
To be honest, I'm not fussed about an exact match ... so long as it's close any yellow will do for my pit bike :daumenhoch:
My Quad is slightly darker than the GT though the colour looks identical in the pic ... that's how close they are

Pete ... I was told the new powder on my GT was matched to the original colour and I'd say it's very close. I've just emailed Biagio again for confirmation and hopefully to get the RAL code we need too
I'll keep you posted :daumenhoch:
