I have a dull unpainted stem which sort of shines.
Can anyone suggest a way of making it shine like a mirror or is this not possible without re-chroming ?
-
cover iy with glue and sprinkle some sequins on it, instant bling, DAN-DARE has full bike builds like that :D
-
polish it

yeah. it was behind the door too.

smash a mirror and glue all the bits onto the stem..Mosaic stylee :D :D

You piss-taking barstools, ya.
Cheapo method - get some Autosol from Halfords (or some Tesco's) and give it a good polish. Won't quite shine like a mirror but might be shiny enough.
Expensive method - take it to a metal finishers and get them to polish it.

heres the key
400-600-800-1000-1200 grit wet and dry sand it
then autosol....then peek....then t-cut....and it will end up like this
by the way this tuff neck was black
