If anyone fancies a nice late 90s build, how about this one?
DSD, what do you think?

now thats bizarre! i was sat in bed looking at that same copy of ride and thinking about building a sabbath!
great minds...... :LolLolLolLol:
the mckinney interview is interesting looking back!
-
McKinney Rocks!
That bike would be a nice one to build. The wheels and cranks might be a little hard to get, and maybe the bars. Im guessing they are grave yard bars but I dont know much about flatland stuff.
There is loads of scan fodder in that mag, ay DSD? Union adds, King adds, even a cracking S&M add ::)

The early sabbaths had platforms (see the McKinney shot) but the later ones didnt (See the pic of the red one from Harris). There were other differences but Im not too sure about either of these frames.
-
yessai bludclaat!

I was told the one I have in the cupboard was a sabbath lite (19"tt, 7lb 2oz on the kitchen scales), but it has a platform?

What pics you got Wayne???

What pics you got Wayne???
wow ... this was 9 years ago Nick :-)
-
That's cool, chatting with Wayne at the moment about it but it's a lengthy process of chatting
-
Just saw this. Sorry, spend all day on phone buying stuff and sorting things out for other people. Not much brain or will left for talking on my own phone out of hours.
I'm not putting this up for sale to the general public, Nick posed the question and kind of made me realise what a folly the frame is at the moment, so it'll just be two guys exchanging cash for goods. The sticking point is finding the middle ground where we both think we got a good deal.
But if you still want some pics I can oblige.
-
Voila.
Here's the pockmarked chainstay. They're not as deep as I thought and the metal's thick. Dropouts are cleaner than I remember.

Ok then Wayne, money talks so what are you after? Pm me
-
This may help a bit with you guys coming to a deal. I have recently purchased one of these frames in raw and lacquer for £170.
The chain stays on mine are pretty mint though to be honest (one tiny ding)
Hope you guys can have a fair deal. Thought this might help!
-
Cheers Jon, really I didn't want to do the 'how much is this worth?' thing so PM'd a member or two for advice. Think I'll apply the three quote rule for this one.
