Title: MX 1000 pots mod question
Post by: Haley on June 13, 2007, 10:54 PM
Were some MX 1000s made as pots mods because this one is made to accept the weinman adjuster in the bottom hole (ooer) and the cable clamp in the top. They do not fit the other way round. Have I found a rare un?

Will the weinman adjuster fit in the top, because the quick release has been removed.

I think DC went to the DC FS 880 & Nippons for the Potts.

The adjuster does go in the top but spins round which it does not do in the bottom because of the flattened area of the hole, but the cable clamp does not go in the bottom. Is it off another brake? I'll have to drill the hole slightly to make it fit.

Or you could swap it with someone who has another MX1000 with the quick release on it  :)
