Does anyone have any pictures of any of the old cheapo bikes that none of us really wanted bitd but got anyway because our parents wouldn't buy us a Supergoose?
Stuff like Pirahnas, Team Murrays (which is what I had) or Giants?
I realize that any pictures forthcoming will be old ones of people on their rides bitd, as I doubt anyone is realizing a twenty five year old dream to own a Pirahna! It'd be cool to see them again though.
I'm gonna dig out my old pics and send them in when I visit my mum the next time.
-
i've got a few pics, i'll have to have a look and dig them out.
-
I'm sure theres a pic of a pirahna in the museum ???

I was a little lighter back then! ;D
I did have them swapped pretty regularly if I remember right.....always breaking them.

Hi does anyone out there remember some of the cheao bikes I had?? But no pics
Rough Rider , candy apple red , these where cheap but strong ( Craig frazier and his bruv could not wreck it.)
Moto 1. Black with gold rims.
These bikes are circa 1982 81 . ish
-
I remember the moto one. My friend had one and it was pretty heavy but there were worse bikes around at the time.

i remember the Moto1 they were like a step down from a Pro-Star and there was also the WMX, the one i saw cane in black with gold stuff including redline styled V bars & the softest 1 piece crank i ever seen :o
even my sister bent her crank & she only used it for her paper round ;D

Yeh still got skinny arms (and legs) lol, i was the original 8
stone weakling. Those bikes were crap every bearing
broke up headset, bb, wheels, and spares were like
hens teeth in them days.

8 stone?
in that pic you are more a 1/4 pounder - with cheese!!!
joking aside i wish i was 8 stone now. then i could fly like an eagle!!!

Nice Stratton, Retro. Thanks for posting again. My brother's wasn't an ET. It was red with these crazy yellow 10 spoke plastic mag-type wheels - lovely! Needless to say, it didn't last too long after a summer of thrashing at Hounslow BMX track (1984). We both moved onto the more robust DP Firebird Delta II after that.
Cheers.
