As far a bikes builds go, the only thing i've never over all the years even attempted to do is lace a wheel up. The last 25 minutes have changed that. It's not some type of magic involved and as well as finally getting my 1st lace up done , i found it very relaxing ( kinda like knitting for my mum type thing ) ??? Fair enough it'll still have to go to my local matey to be trued and tightened down. But at least i'm taking a built wheel along, instead of spare parts :daumenhoch:.
In fact i may take it all apart and do it all again. :LolLolLolLol: Seriously tho i only built this to see if i could out of spare bits for now.

i still love doin me own lol

nice 3 cross and the valve hole in the right place. if the wheel runs pretty true as it is, then just tighten each spoke by half a turn at opposite sides and before you know it , it will be tight and true Job done.

You never forget your first. :smitten: ........... Wheel build that is. :4_17_5:

Ace wheel build, that looks superb.
I love lacing wheels and I am so glad I learnt how to do it. Truing a wheel isn't very difficult either, just takes a bit of practise.

Thanx lads. :daumenhoch: I've had a go at trueing etc. Not too far off being spot on actually. Spokes are at a nice tension too. I still think i'd prefer to take it to a mate who's been building wheels for years for the final set up tho. Until it gets to the point he says he doesn't need to sort it after i've done my part. Just in case... LOL
I've made it up to a full wheel for this pic, now it's gonna be stripped down again so the 2 rims can get a nice polish up. Before being laced up again for good. G ;)
