A few people have suggested ditching the laidback post on my beat, Its gonna be a rider but I dont want to damage the frame, should I opt for a straight post ?
I'm 6ft 2 and about 13 stone...

mate i've seen a lot lighter than you bend a lay back riding.
fookin orrible thing to ride with.
ask aerostylie lol.

fatty ;)
they can damage the frames, your bike your choice.
i use them but im not fussed.

What do you think of those Elina Ultra lights? They do a white and black chequered post that'd look wicked on my bike
but are they rubbish seats?

keep the lay back but cut it down a couple of inches, less stress on the frame looks better and you still get an extra bit of legnth

HiYa
It depends on what post you use.
I used to snap posts bitd weekly and also sent back a few DB frames due to seat post damage. :'(
I finally used an 18" Renthal straight for race and Renthal lay back for freestyle. Never snapped either of them.
Got my Master about two years ago and the lay back on it melted like cheese within a 2 mile ride of pulling wheelies.
I got a Stong post (Craig Strong) post on me old faithful burner and that is up to the max height and that has not given in after nearly two years of hard and heavy use.
If you are going to use the bike, it's got to be comfortable and useable.
PS - I weigh in at more than you, so you'll be fine with a good make.
I prefer the look of straight posts on some of my bikes, but find it does get uncomfortable when you go for a cruise.

renthal lay backs are strong as fook so are gt lay backs, odyssey lay back are very poor in the strength department, just don't land on your ass and you'l be fine :LolLolLolLol:

Renthals,gt's and tuffnecks are all good ;) but in my opinion the CW with the square brace is the daddy! :daumenhoch: If you can find one? ::)
