ive just ripped three bikes apart and there is no way a feckin round peg will fit in a square hole no matter how many fecckin cups and bearins you have,
bollox
-
hehehe
what you saying?
the 1 1/8" forks go through the regular cups no worries.
-
im sayin that the botton 4 -8 mm of the fork steerer shaft is bigger than an inch cup.
thats on oddessy thermal 41's, AND haro race forks
fekkers
-
top fits in fine
-
your shaft is wider at the bottom?
dont forget the bottom bit will have the "inner race" that sits in the bearings
-
41 thermals start gettin wider 1 inch up....lol
-
stoopid forks
stoooopid
i will make my forks fit. both by hook and crook. mostly hook
-
fuccccin haro race forks only have wide bit for 3mm but are:
A: gay
B: have no lugs.
-
If it's giving you a nightmare you'll need to start looking for early 1 1/8th forks with no steerer tube weirdness or 1" ahead forks from midschool days.... :)
-
Gee (now specs) has done this on a Haro bash-guard so it can be done ;)
-
yeah, i know it could be done but i wanted it done NOW!
fekkin bmx. its a curse i tell ya....i should have stuck to lego....at least the blue and red pieces weren't any dearer than the black and white.....
-
It can totally be done - I used to sell the bloody converter cups!!! But fork technology has moved on a bit and steerer tubes ain't all the same any more, hence the problems... :)
-
your shaft is wider at the bottom?
everyone seemed to miss this so i thought i'd point it out
-
I thought it.
