anyone know what year JAD Cranks came out ? Are they old or mid school ?
I've seen a few pairs going for big prices in the US, but don't remember ever seeing them before this year ?

i got 2 pair and love the engineering ,over done but i like them.
late old to mid school .

they look like 3rd gen.
1st had a cover plate bolted on back of arms
2nd unsure
3rd multi drilled rear of arms
something along them lines.

that frame was pretty tough according to a test i read in a bmx mag
although some people maintain that they were weak as floppy shit
the cranks were always good though!

They're holding the frame together cos someone actually sat on it!
There was a classic test in US Ride were Dave Young and another SD ripper who I forget, rode the bike, and mashed it. There was a thread on here a while ago about it, I think someone even posted up pics from the test. The thing that amazed me was that the owner of Jad could believe what they (the test riders) were doing on BMXs! Who did he design the bike for if not BMXers and how did he design it without knowing what people did on them?!
They do look nice tho, very different
