hi all
im restoring a ripper and i cant decide what finish to go for,
do i get it polished,powdered or candy finished
has anyone had their frames done in candy red or blue?
and who done them.

My Mongoose DeCoster is Candy Blue, I did the finish myself.

the job cost 45 quid (plus another 20 courier costs !!), but that was a while back now....

btw: Dan did my Ripper in Baby Blue !!  ;)

The candy finish on the TS, did LSN do any prep work first and do you know if they can prep an ali frame for a candy application?

Yeah, they striped the frame and preped it for the price quoted,
I would say you'd need to check re: Ali frames,...the process should be the same...
do you have their contact details ?

Ever tryed Araya or Ukai on the Ripper Dwain ??

never tried spokes mate. i just love tuffs
as a kid i had cheap bikes and could never afford tuffs
so now i think im getting obsessed by em :2funny:

i've got some nos Z-Rims going on my b.blue ripper,

i lvoe tuffs, but prefer spokes on Rippers............

BTW Dwain, your ripper looks like my TS's twin ! Candy Red with Black Tuffs ! :4_17_5:
