Title: Re: Spoke and Nipple Size - But where do I get 177mm spokes from??
Post by: Paulo on June 22, 2007, 03:19 PM
Apologies for this as I know this has come up before but I can't find the thread.

What size spoke and nips do I need to build Araya Aeros with large flanged hubs? I remember long nips are the way to go, and I think I read it was 177mm spokes I needed. Can anyone confirm please?

Nipples....flange....mmmmmmmmm  :smitten:

Customer Riders only have about 30, 177mm spokes and they aren't getting any more in. 30's no bleeding good for 2, 36 spoked wheels now is it? :LolLolLolLol:

Does anywhere else stock them? I'm after stainless steel. I've looked but with no luck. :'(

Custom Riders do have 179mm spokes available. Any thoughts on whether these will work with my Aeros and large flanges, maybe using short nipples? ???

There's a fella on the bay who will custom cut the lengths you spec. I have had some from him, reasonable price, just search for spokes
