Title: new school redline crank question
Post by: martin46 on June 25, 2007, 06:51 PM
is it worth spending the extra for the flights over the prolines, is there much difference other than asthetics?

The prolines are chunkier with a slightly larger spindle. I had a set, but they dont look as good as the flites, and with only $10/20 difference, I would stick to the flites :daumenhoch:

i prefer the prolines
the single pinch bolt is strong

on the flites there are 2 spindly bolts on each arm. a mate of mine had some, and one bolt snapped without any effort at all. piss poor.

the prolines feel like a stronger crank to me

but the flites look better!!

it's the age old choice. looks or girth :)

I prefer the Prolines to the flights also, just really like the chunky look.  I put a set on my retro quadangle, I think they really suit it.
