Background:
I've potentially annoyed another member (unintentionally, I might add) by posting in a 'for sale' thread that I would like to purchase some items from a seller. I received a PM saying that I could have them, so I duly paid up via paypal. Job's a good 'un.
However, unbeknownst to me, another member had PMed the seller hours before asking for one of the items I bought but had not put a post up in the thread to say he wanted it.
I'm happy to sort this out with the other member though.
My point:
Do you think it might be a good idea to post in the seller's thread if we are interested in purchasing something from them? That way, if I come along and also want the item, it is plain to see who wanted it first.
It might save this awkwardness.

its a good idea, and courteous to do so, but the first pm tends to get the dibdobs!

surely the seller should have checked his pm's before agreeing to sell to you.

I always post first then PM, its the best way, because everyone can see who has got in first.

Agreed. I'm going to make sure I definitely do that from now on. I usually do.

I always do this. Not everyone does though. ;)
