i have a set of proline forks that came with my rl20 and i have a set of rl20 forks with the standoffs in so a later pair the rl forks are a lot chunkyer than pl is this correct
ie the bits the wheels fit into are about twice as thick material about 2-3 mm and pl ones about a mill or so ???(http://[/im[img]http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/c86/dannyboyz4200/holsandallot082.jpg)g]

Are they both 4"headtube?
-
think they both 5"
-
The thinner drop outs were the racing forks from the PL, the fatter ones are from the RL. But Im not sure if the first RLs just borrowed the PLs forks!!
Ask Ron Burgandy, he is pretty clued up :daumenhoch:

yay finally these are the forks that came with the frame but the fors i got separate are a lot thicker in the dropouts but i know these a re a lot later as they have the standoff peg holes in them i was gonna fil them with weld and get em powdered but wont bother if the pline uns would be correct for a 84 f/f
-
wot do ya think then? ;)
-
84 = no peg holes and really straight forks ( looks like it has run into a wall) can't tell with yours, the bars are turned... have a look at the one in the Museum :daumenhoch:
Peg holes from 85, I think...
I'm no expert on the RL range, but that should give an idea...
-
ok m8 cheers well the frame is an 84 i think but the forks are deffo not straight so ill get the later uns welded up and powdered cheers m8 maybee ratty will be able to get his hands on a set of proline forks after all :D
-
Why not try and trade them first...
