Anyone :D
-
That's a touchy subject!.....
-
Huge amount of money.
And, yes someone did make a batch of fakes a few years ago...they were very very close and caused a big stink.
-
To make it worse ... I think some of the "repros" sets that were never sold, went missing!
I bet there are more repro sets out there that are getting passed off as real. With that amount of money involved there has to be.
-
Yep, I'd certainly be cautious...
-
there was a huge debate on this subject on the US VBMX site,
Didn't Sand n Dirt get some repro's made a while back ? I also heard from a reliable source that a certain Old School BMX Seller with his own retail website had some, you know who i mean !! ;) ;D
-
They might be easier to spot cos some of them hit the frame when you rotated the cranks!!!!
-
As opposed to the real ones which just broke.

....or the Hutch Factory Rider chose to use Redlines !! LOL !!
Tell me this ? WHY ARE THEY SO VALUABLE ? THEY ARE NOT THAT RARE ! I MUST HAVE SEEN AT LEAST 20 SETS ON EBAY IN THE PAST YEAR ???
Personally i'd prefer a NOS set of gen 1 Profiles and the change ;)
-
Well there are probably just 5 or so sets, it just it took a few months for people to have a re-think. and then re-sell and get their Grand back.
-
Yep, box Profiles - yum-fooking-yummy!
:smitten:
-
yeah, I know what ya mean Alex, most of these sets Must be the same one's doing the rounds...??? I don't think Hutch made that many.........
....................how would it cost to make copies of these, far less than a Grand me thinks, ;)
-
So come on guys who did the coppies ??? ???
I emailed this guy to ask the question, are these originals, this is his reply
Can you tell me what the difference between genuine and non genuine is? Because I sure as hell didn't produce them and when I got them about 5 years ago they looked almost new with a little flaking of the chrome and then had them re-chromed. Other then that, I offer no quarantees. But they look beautiful, thats for sure.
It's a good question, thanks for asking,
Mike
So he doesn;t say they are and he doesn;t say they arn't :LolLolLolLol:
-
they look toss
gimme a one piece with rat traps, and i'll spend the change on beer and kebabs
-
best person to speak to is biaggio as he had a fair few sets made by a guy called rob but if he tell you whats the difference is, is another matter but i know he got a lot of stick over them . me and bob saw a set at a alans meet a few years ago and the guy who had them swore they were originals but we knew .
would suck if paid big money for a set that was repro

Does anyone have a picture of the Profile built Hutch Cranks (the Gen 1's not Aerospeeds).
I think they were the same as Profile Gen 1's but had a Hutch sticker and no indentation.
Don't think I've ever seen a set or picture though - carn't of been many made?

There were a set on us e-bay a little while back Jem, and I think there was a bit of a disscusion about them in Trash Talking on O/S BMX too :daumenhoch:
