having never run a front brake and now i've got one what's with the stem bolt that can have a cable running through it?.is it a certain type of stem that has them?

i'm presuming it's a new school stem you've got there?? all you need mate is one of these type of bolts....

Thanks men,now i need somemore advice,i've fitted a star nut on a mtb and it was a right pain getting it in straight,any tips on getting it in straight?

thanks mate,but is that proper as in correct or as in trev trying to sell me a "proper" tool,like his proper barends?
i'll have a look next week and decide if i can be ar*ed to do it at all :2funny:

Priv......if you take the stem off you may find the forks have the threaded bit welded in them already....if not the way i've allways installed them on my MTBs is to screw the stem bolt into the nut (this gives you something to hit and to line it up with) then it's just a case of lining it up and a good hit with the irish screwdriver :daumenhoch:
