Title: ADVICE NEEDED....CHROME PLATE.....

HI , CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME ON SMOOTHING DOWN, OR REMOVING THIS FROM MY FRAME, CHEERS......

that looks like flaking lacqeur to me, if so paint thinners will shift it, not sure why its on a frame though????? :)

If it was chrome, best to take it to a chrome plater to have them reverse the process and strip it, if it's paint then more nitromors or a lot of work with a DA/sander otherwise find someone with an acid bath that can dip it for you (SuperbikeDan has one)  :daumenhoch:.

Looks like chrome to me though so I find a local plater and have them do it, shouldn't be too expensive or take too long.
