That is cool. Competing against Hoffman. But I have competed against the winner Simon Tabron many a time, and constantly beat him for the overall. Okay, for a lot of the time he only competed on ramps and I done both. But he has competed on both numerous times and my flatland supremecy outscored his ramp supremcy.
If only you could see the smug look on my face now. I also realise that most people will think i am a right tw@t. :-[
Seriously though, well done Paul. Top draw. But congratulations to Simon Tabron. A great achievement to someone I competed against for the World Title 20 years ago this year.
-
Not me mate, you should be proud of your achievements. :daumenhoch:
If i had done that in my lifetime, you can bet people would know about it ;D
-
it's not too late to make a comeback Trev ;)
well done to Paul, great result, :daumenhoch:
also hope Billy did well, i am sure he did....... 8) he's got so much talent for such a young age !

no comeback for me i'm afraid. i don't think 360's cut it anymore, unless i chuck in a treble whip and a flip too.

guys got back late tonight, fooking ell what a weekend, the most incredible riding you will ever see :uglystupid2:
world class riding in every group with riders entering from countries all over the world, the crowds, the bmx stars,
the camera crews and photographers, words can't explain what it was like, paul meacher in the vert final, :4_17_5:
billy came 80th out of 110 riders, 110 :idiot2: wicth in this group was not bad, his group was massive and skiilled as they
come, with no age group, so young and old and experianced together ??? they were pulling double tailwhips :)
back flips, every trick, and on your own in front of a screaming crowd :)
lost his way on the ramps and the occasion was just to big, he forgot to pull his everyday tricks and only used one part
of the park, wicth a lot of top riders done as well, ;)
still rode really well though pulling tailwhip airs, no foot cans over the box and so on :)
wait till i post my pics of the whole weekend, you will love them :daumenhoch:
also he got to ride the famous bruan spine ramp, huge ramp and very scary, check the pics i took of billy on
this ramp, waited all weekend for it but well worth it :)
-
Nice one Billy. Thats a massive bit of experience under your belt!
-
nice one billy. in 20 years time you'll now be able to tell the youngsters on here how you competed against the best in the world...
dan, do you know how isaac got on?
-
yes 36 out of 52 in pro ;)
-
is sounds like there were ALOT of people there!!! 110! 52! Those are big groups!
-
congratulations to all three rad representatives...

alex those groups were huge and a lot of of the riders just forgot what to do, billy didn't even go
over the spine or turndown any ramp, wicth he does every week and spins them, big stage and
very imtimidating, but the braun ramp was worth the wait, that ramp is big :)

Did Mat Hoffman have to call in the police to fend off Quad :LolLolLolLol:

Did Mat Hoffman have to call in the police to fend off Quad :LolLolLolLol:
I belive Pete threw his underpants at Matt during his run, which he subsequently rode over. The love juice on the pants caused him to slide off and only take 3rd. ;D
-
nice one paul, great performance. that table was mental. MAXIMUMMMMMMMMMMMMM RESPECTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT :daumenhoch:
-
I took this pic during Paul's last run on Sunday - I believe it says it all.
He went higher than Hoffman, Tabron and anyone else.
Fooking rad. Well done Paul, we're all in awe and very proud of you mate.

Bill, Mat was in my Hotel room Saturday morning...long story...needless to say I'm a very happy bunny.

What a superb weekend, the riding was mindblowing, triple whip, frontflip whip, whip to whip back etc! loads of crazy stuff
Daniel dhers's spine ramp runs were mesmerizing :4_17_5: i cant wait to see them again, contantly spining, whipping airing
There were loads of riders from rom and southsea who entered to cheer on aswell :) most did really well. Well done Paul M you rocked mate, 540 straight into a whip on hi last run :daumenhoch:
Very relaxed comp as well, i had a go on the street, vert and finally the monster 7foot braun spine ramp which made my weekend. The dirts 20foot drop in prevented most people atempting it
-
Congrats to guys, Paul, Billy and Issac. Paul that is an insane air!
