It's not often that I invite people to admire my helmet but, after years of searching, I've finally found the helmet I've always wanted. I was going to buy one in 1983 but ended up buying something else and I always regretted it. Now I am the proud owner of a Bell BMX3 which I found on ebay. Including postage from the USA this helmet set me back a whopping £14.99  I would have paid ten times that and the helmet is in fantastic condition considering it's age - only a few very minor scratches. The padding is great and won't need replacing, the stickies are 99% intact and, even better, it fits my head, so I can ride/race in it!! ;D Before it arrived I had plans to rub it down and respray it as maybe a Skyway, Hutch, SE or Andy Ruffell replica, but it's in such good nick I think I'll just leave it as it is.

good find,i got a factory hutch one but wont ware it as its a tad out of date ;)

I doubt if I'd wear a proper Hutch one either. Think I'd keep it safely in the display cabinet but this one is getting worn. I've waited almost 25 years so it's going down the track! And yes it is a large helmet, 7 & 3/8 to be precise ;)

£!5 for that, what a bargain :daumenhoch:
