Title: KNOCKED OFF ME BIKE PICKY OF WHEEL NOW

RIDING HOME FROM WORK,ABOUT 4 MILE THROUGH THE TOWN

MUST OF ONLY DONE HALF A MILE AND COME UP TO SOME QUEING TRAFFIC,SO STEADY AS YA LIKE UP THE INSIDE AS YA DO ,,COME TO A JUNCTION ON LEFT ,TRAFFIC STOOD STILL A TRANSIT VAN DECIDED HE HAD ENOUGH AND TURNED INTO JUNCTION ,WORST THING WAS I WAS ON THE JUNCTION WHEN HE TURNED
WHACK SMACKED ME CLEAN OFF ME POOR CRUISER,CUT ME LEG OPEN ,BRUISED ME ELBOW,,,,,AND KILLED THE FRONT WHEEL OF ME BIKE TOTTALY

GUTTED IS NOT THE WORD,,,OH THE EXCUSES FLOWED WHEN HE GOT OUT ,,,I HAD ME INDICATER ON AND DID NOT SEE ME THOUGH I HAD ME WORK HIGH VIZZ VEST ON

CAN HARDLY WALK ONLY 2 WEEKS TO GET BETTER TO KICK RATT,S ARSE ROUND MK ,,MAYBE ANY WAY

I've been hit by cars a few times, I hardly ever ride a bike on the road now. The goverment want us reduce our carbon footprint, then they don't build any cycle paths near me, just more dirty great bypasses. So for now unitl they make it safer I'll stick to my big diesel drinking Merc van. >:(

but as Zed points out, getting knocked off is a great way to get your bike upgraded..... most drivers don't have a clue as to the price of bike parts.....they always say they'll pay for the damage, thinking it'll be cheaper than an insurance claim, so just replace anything even slightly damaged with top range parts, saying that's what you already had.... the guilt and shock of nearly killing someone usually means they will fork out even when they get the £500 bill (having witnesses or getting the police involved at the time usually helps)..... It's worked for me and friends on many an occasion....
