Soon as I get some cash from my cali on ebay,
Im quite happy to be in a UK Street Beat Build off.

Anyone up for it?

Dont know whether to get a raw frame or import a pre-powdered frame from US?

Is there any type of laquer that you can spray ontop of a painted frame to make it hard, instead of powder coating?

Chris  ;)

I've got a couple of raw 'Beat frames I am about to send off to Dan for coating. I want to use the parts I already have on them though so getting them in any other colour than white/red or white/green would be awkward. I could do a black/red one maybe. Damn, i've got too many ideas now.  :2funny:

Admittedly, Dan only has the Skyway Green RAL code and i'm considering getting the other one chromed if I can find a chromer in Sussex somewhere.

Hmmn, I could just get another raw 'Beat frame instead...  :2funny:

yes, you would need 2pac clear laquer and hardener, which is what car sprayers use over metalics, sets rock hard ;)

Rudewheels raw £65 delivered.
Think Ginnys is £52 delivered but from US and you could get Import duties  :'(

Ive just ordered a Orange Beat from Ginnys.
Cant really afford the rest of the bike yet. But watch out for my posts in the wanted threads....

She's normally very good at getting them through customs without duty.....i just got a set of new Tuffs through her and i never paid a penny in duty or handling......she marks them as a gift and the value under £30.  it could be a bit hit and miss though??

Yeah, it is a bit hit and miss. Everything i've ordered from Ginny so far has been hit by import duty.  :-\

In fact, everything i've ever ordered from the US has been hit by import duty. Whether from AJK, Coloredtuffs or Ginny.

I hope you do better though.  :daumenhoch:

could be down to size?  i'm guessing that if a fook off box comes through marked as a gift and under £30 they may think it's a bit iffy??  maybe on smaller items it's better?

me too, always get hit by import duty, but my bro now lives over in south carolina, so im hoping things will get through in the future, but i do know that they keep note of the address items are going to, so maybe use a friends address?
