Hello there,
as far as robberies go this be on the petty side, :-[ but it still knocked me about £30 down on the bike I JUST finished building and has made me lose faith in a "riders community" among the youth >:(
I was riding up to some railings to lock up my BMX, when I noticed a couple of kids across the street....
At first I thought they were chavs with nicked bikes,
I then had a better look and noticed the small (14ish)black kid was on a 24" bmx with suspension forks and a front disc brake setup, and the larger white kid (15ish) had a decent looking bmx. he also had some girly blonde emo haircut!
So I thought , ahh cool ! some riders, they looked at me like they were about to come over and I thought I would have a friendly natter, but they stayed put.
When I come back to my bike about an hour later,
guess the f**k what?
my bike has been made (against will) into a new school saddle-less bike !!!
GGrrrGrrrghh!!!
Its a pretty small thing I know, but I was so mad, Ive never come across anyone stealing parts in brum - so I never worry about it.
Im just so annoyed and dissapointed too that it was some "fellow" riders!
Anyway, my seat & post are very distinctive - so if you are in brum, keep an eye out and give em a slap for me ;)
