OK! NOW YOU HAVE DONE IT!  :daumenhoch: I am skrolling down through these pictures thinking, "now that is a track I would race on today and not feel intimidated about the size (and multitude) of jumps."  Then you end it with a picture of a sidehack race! Is that a tribute to me?  ;D  My ego can dream, can't it?

Anyway, cool pictures! Got any stories to go with them?

To answer you bof I think from memory its wimbourne , my only stories are I have a lovely scar above my eyebrow from that day where my bro (RIP) cracked me one on the head with a stick and that they had an event sponsored by Capri Sun and they where giving out free goodies all day and somebody ened up overdoseing on cartons of orange  :angel:  Yes red a small tribute to all the great pic's you share with us long may it continue  :daumenhoch: Bof live in euxton nr chorley now, used to live in moss side near wrea green so am a ribby racer at heart ;)

the honest answer is not sure, we had bags full of pictures but allsorts seems to have gone missing between house moves, me old dear is digging out what she can and whatever she finds I will scan in ;)  Got some negatives with those pics as well, can I still get owt done with them as there looks to be some diff pc's on negatives  :D

Young Mr Greaves, me sister (yeah I know its cheating lol) Andy welch (?) from memory now I'm gonna look at pics ah yeah big trev robinson ;)  Can't be wigan it's not rainin n no ones eatin pea wet on tha chips lass ;)

I recognise loads of the riders from them being in BMX Action bike. The race kits and the number plates ... its all very familiar. The problem is, I never READ the magazines so I dont know who they are!

The track is definately Wimborne, I raced there so many times as it was in my region.

The 1st pic is the one and only Harvey "son of god" Munckton. That
track had so many names Wimborne, Mannington most of my
trophies from there had Magna Mustangs on them. Great memories
the 2nd to last straight had no jumps on it at all completely flat
hard to imagine now.

Yeh definitely Mannington Heath - Wimbourne Dorset, it was always windy! I remember seeing the skyway boys Andy Patterson and Bob Medrano jump the Doubles on the last straight we were blown away. The guy had no permission to build the track as I remember it got stopped because it was a protected wildlife area, home to a rare newt! I think I've got some pics somewhere, will look.

I went that day as well, Medrano started the peddalling in the
air craze, one of them boys hung up big time on those last
two doubles cant remember who.
