Title: Haro Forks - Real or Fakes ??
Post by: snav69 on August 15, 2007, 03:39 PM: Right , after seeing wish id kept my TA 's 1984 Haro Master gen 3 , i thought i would get to the bottom of whether these forks are real or not that i have had in the shed forever and a day ::)
So can any Haro experts shed any light for me ;)

It may just be the photo but i can't see any groove in the threads on those in billy's thread , prolly means mine are shite :2funny:

Post by: dj_benice on August 15, 2007, 04:19 PM: lol me too paul am guessing yours don't have vent holes? might be worth asking mister stupple to get the old vernier calipers out and measure the dropouts (apparantley they are flimsier ie thinner on t'copies :daumenhoch: )

Post by: billstup on August 15, 2007, 05:40 PM: Just had a look at both pairs of mine, fake and real, and neither pair have vent holes in the dropouts ::)

But having just measured the dropouts on the fakes with a ruler I`d say they are 2.5 mm thick, or there abouts, so yours look like the real deal :daumenhoch:

Yes this is right, unles they came off a FST then they could be as late as 88, but I would say 84 or before.

& yes they look the real deal to me & can I join the que if your selling :)
