Right , after seeing wish id kept my TA 's 1984 Haro Master gen 3 , i thought i would get to the bottom of whether these forks are real or not that i have had in the shed forever and a day ::)
So can any Haro experts shed any light for me ;)

It may just be the photo but i can't see any groove in the threads on those in billy's thread , prolly means mine are shite :2funny:
-
lol me too paul am guessing yours don't have vent holes? might be worth asking mister stupple to get the old vernier calipers out and measure the dropouts (apparantley they are flimsier ie thinner on t'copies :daumenhoch: )
-
Vent holes Pete ??? :-[

noooo, if they have vent holes they are copies according to Rom-Bloke further on in bills thread

Ohhhh , i see . I'm lazy and didn't read the whole thread >:D
:LolLolLolLol:

If you dont need them I could do with them if you're selling
-
Aint sure what to do with them yet as i don't know what they are but the ruler has first dibble dobbles on em if i sell but you will be next in line :daumenhoch:
-
spot on :daumenhoch:
-
yep they look like the real thing to me, the fakes had a rounder bend at the steerer tube than the real mccoys.....so they will do for me(not that i know feck all about haros)

Just had a look at both pairs of mine, fake and real, and neither pair have vent holes in the dropouts ::)
But having just measured the dropouts on the fakes with a ruler I`d say they are 2.5 mm thick, or there abouts, so yours look like the real deal :daumenhoch:

Nice one :4_17_5:
Any idea on year or that being a bit ambitious :-\

pre 85/6 as no holes for pegs is about all I know :)

Yes this is right, unles they came off a FST then they could be as late as 88, but I would say 84 or before.
& yes they look the real deal to me & can I join the que if your selling :)

i say that more pics of your stock is needed so i can have a gander :LolLolLolLol:
