i've recently got back into bmx through my son and had been looking for a new school bike just for playing about on with my son and for a spin around rom when i get chance. i've just been offered a bike by a neighbour who's moving. i know it's a homeless frame not sure which model but i'd say it's about 10 years old now. i've tried to find some info about them on the net but there's not much available apart from they're not made anymore since the factory burnt down. what were they like any good or leave well alone.
cheers
gareth

go for one of those brand new 06 haro sports. there are loads on the bay at the moment and are cheap as chips. not the best bike in the world, but for that price you can't go wrong.
-
that frame set could be just on the money,
as usual alex isnt about lazy sod
get a pic up or a parts list then me, alex, joe and a few others can pilfer all he good bits
and then send you to trev for a new ride ;)
that will be fine mate dan :daumenhoch:
-
Yeah, you'd probably be better off on a newer bike, they're pretty good value for money too if you look around.
And then your neighbour can sell me the Homeless frameset if he wants ;D

Like to see a pic of the Homeless, might be an original Mack or a Soul Bro! Then again it might be a shite later Mack or a Player.
Pic please!
-
does it have a platform or not? that 'll narrow it down! the mack and the player were nice frames, would make a really good mid school build as theres not many around!
naturally the spartan up above had one, but he had practically everything!
laz was a serious bike whore in the mid nineties!

Here is a couple of pics of my 95 Homeless Player, Does it look like this?

picked it up this afternoon. not given him any money yet, i need some opinions as to wether it's worth spending money on. i've also been given a haro Flair Signature Series to use as a donor bike. what do you reckon then keep it or back it.

Thats the 96 Mack (heavy!) not a bad bike really compared to a lot of other stuff, quite rare, if it was cheap then you did good! :daumenhoch:
-
are they sunn rims
-
I think so.
-
he wants £100 amd i got the flair for free.
-
didnt the homeless bikes warehouse get burned down by a homeless person?
i'd have a soulbro frame now
-
yes the legend is true, sbout the homeless person
its worth £100 if you do her up
cool i just found a set of the same sunn rims in my loft.
bugger if i member buying them or putting the up :uglystupid2: old age i guess
-
Yeah, i'd have it for a ton, would scrub up quite nicely, quite a nice ride too esp. on mini.
Good condition V-monsters on it and 990's score!
-
hey laz
your mack was yellow. am i right in remembering that it only came in yellow or black
-
I did see a chrome one at Southsea once and a red one too!
-
i'll shut up then!

Wanna buy some magazines?
-
Shame it's not an earlier Mack - I've got one of those already; looks really strong and well made but the toptube is only 18"

-
Yep seen 'em Laz, owned by Steve Tyler in Texas (not the singer!). He's also got Kevin Martin's old Mack 8)

if anyones intrested in this frame and forks i'm thinking of selling it as i don't seem find the time to get to rom on it as i'd planned but seem to spend more time at the track, so i'm now looking for something a bit lighter. pm me if intrested.
