Now, I wasn't too with it during the mid-school era (lots and lots of drugs and drink). But I really wanted to build myself a mid-school bike.
I have always been a racer so figured that was the way to go. I managed to pick up a 1991 Bully Piston Race frame and that is where I started. It really is a superb looking frame.
Let me tell you, it is really difficult finding era-correct parts for mid-school bikes, there are loads of old-school parts but mid-school is really difficult to get hold of. It took ages finding Bully parts also, but I managed to find Bully Bars, Stem, Seat Post, Forks and Seat.
And before anybody asks, the reason I have white grips is because I have a white Zeronine Padset and White Zeronine number plate that will live on the bike.
How I built it is by thinking to myself..... If I was still a racer in 1991 what would my bike look like.
Well this is how it would look..............

I agree 100%, I cannot stand the seat even though it is a Bully. I will change it for an Odyssey Svelte when it arrives. Good thing was the Bully seat cost very little.

that bike is spot on

nice non polished chainring :daumenhoch: bully stuff is nice, cool bike dude, which of the sun rims are they?

AH YA BEAT ME TO IT!!!
Mine is very nearly done... but I must say not as nice looking as yours!
Really nice that mate!! Good work!

Very nice build, you don't see too many of those around here in the US. Stidds, does you stem have a hole in the top, like for a rotor-style adjustment barrel? Are those the stock decals?
The front of your stem needs a decal though. PM me and I'll get one sent out to you.

Top build Sean and great attention to detail. I've sourced parts for 3 mid school bikes now and I agree it is harder to find these parts than the more common OS stuff (I'm still looking for some Sun Mistral rims) but thankfully when you find it it's normally cheaper ;D

Raul
The stem does have a hole in the top, I am going to change it to a solid bolt. The decals are repops of the Bully Race decals.

i can see your point about the seat :LolLolLolLol: looks like an aeroyal!
certain midschool stuff can be hard to find but its usually realistically priced when you do eventually find it :daumenhoch:
