Title: '94 Redline Proline question...anyone?
Post by: Rake on August 28, 2007, 02:12 PM
Some of you may have seen the '85 GT Performer I bought earlier this month.  Well, the same kid has a rough (but complete) '94 Redline Proline in his backyard.  I'm in the mood to buy it, but I had a few questions.

1.  It's got a "Made in Taiwan" sticker on the headtube; is '94 around the time that Redline was increasing/switching to overseas production?

2.  I believe the frame is 4130, so it should stand up to some abuse, right?

3.  Does anyone have any idea about what this bike would weigh?

I've got all these questions in my head, and I can't get a hold of the guy yet.  Driving me insane!  haha

Redline production switched to the far east in the early 1980s, when you can, stick some pics up, and the frame number  :daumenhoch:

Trying to get him on the phone all day.   :-[

I got up yesterday at 4:00pm, went to work from 7:00pm to 7:00am, then stayed up all day thinking about that freaking bike.  Here it is almost 8:00pm, bringing my waking hours to a total of 28.   :wtf:
