Title: pro neck stem large bolt removal????????????

im sure there have been many threads on this but i cant find em so here goes!
im trying to strip a proneck stem down for a polish or re ano job but cant get the large headed nut off the top,
does it actually come off? i have removed the first smaller one and the long nut and have tried turning the larger one but nothing is doing

Clamp an old set of bars or seat post in the stem to undo the main bolt

You'll also need a decent press to remove the quill from the bottom plate :daumenhoch:

thanks steve, have now tried that and still no joy it must be rusted together i left it over night in wd and have just tried again and no movement!
and more loosening tips???????????? :'(

put me tuf neck in the freezer o/night, slipped off next day  :4_17_5:

all done just needed a decent vice and a proper set of tools, :daumenhoch: now for the polishing aaahhh ::)
