Title: BMX parts in strange places
Post by: kusam on September 01, 2007, 09:01 PM
Just had a few days away at the east coast and on the way back home, spent the day at Flamingo Land theme park.
After doing the major coasters....we went on this

which had these on most of them

Tried to get pics of some of the handlebars, which were CW style (orange ones above) but was getting a couple of odd glances.

I'm guessing you didn't have a toolkit handy either  :LolLolLolLol:

Thats quite amusing!

On a similar theme, I was doing a 3 point turn the other day after making a wrong turn and noticed an oldschool GT racebike with a few nice bits on it (Tuff neck stem, Pro class wheels) chained up against a tennis club fence.....the bike was in poor nick and seemed to have a mudgaurd fashioned out of chicken wire on it.

I considered leaving a note on it asking if it was for sale but I couldn't be bothered in the end!    Was nice to see though  :daumenhoch:

old SR and Suntour stems come in 2 sizes. They are both "1inch" but BMX (USA) 1inch is slightly diferent to Euro / UK 1inch. Its the same with headset cups, BMX ones are a slightly different size to other bike ones, even tho they are "1inch".
