Like i said this may be a stupid question! but i am an old school lad through and through,but i dont know why all the new school riders have there seats tilted backwards?? I have asked some of the lads that ride near me,and they dont know either?I`m not talking about hight just why there tilted.Sorry if i sound like a dip s%!t.

It's so they can grip the seat between their knees when doing bar spins, I believe. It's low so that you don't hit yourself in the jewels mid-trick.

Bitd it was so you could really tuck on a jump, pull tucked endo's, etc without catching your knackers, so the theory remains the same today :LolLolLolLol:

i usualy have my saddle at the same angle as the top tube, its a visual thing for me :LolLolLolLol: and high so i can ride around on it ;) and any old exscuse to add a pic :LolLolLolLol:

i guess if you're doing tricks like whips and no footed cancans then theres less to catch your feet on.

cool.. after I crashed and burnt trying to do a bunny hop at redditch on Sunday- I might try the lower seat technique...
Shame I am out of shape and un fit...

Drop your seat down and feel the difference in how your bike rides. Trust me it will feel different.

I run my seat quite high, for a NS bike. But then I have a front brake too, so what do I know?

I tend to have my saddle tilted back slightly and low and I ride an old school bike.
