I can't decide whether to go to Royston for the EA Champs that day, or to Hersden for a bit of OS action.
TK, Justin asked me if I would donate something for the raffle at Hersden. Are either of you gonna be at Bournemouth on Sunday? If so, I will take something along with me for you guys.

Mike, that's a no-brainer!! :idiot2: Hersden is the most fun you'll have without taking your clothes off!! If someone from the Royston club 'promotes' their event on Talk then you have permission to go but I reckon hell will freeze over before that happens!! ;) Humps
-
Many thanks for that mike, it would be great to see you.
Humps is right, we may be a small track, but everyone goes away with a smile (and one or two trophies)

Three number 1 plates already entered, perhaps i should race with No 1 aswell as i was champ in 2005 lol :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
that doesn't include ratty's daggers summer series #1 plate.....and te-harves osss #1 plate :crazy2:
-
More the merrier ;D
-
It amazes me how all those ego's fit on such a small track.
You know I was thinking the other day how lucky we are that such a small track has some of the best old school racers in the country riding there on a regular basis.
If we all did the winter series the only ones that would get near us would be Te Harv and Quad Paul.

Yep, I've heard good things about Hersden and how much fun it is. I think I was all set to do a race there last year, but it got called off the day before.
Main reason for me to go to Royston though is because I have lots of riders in the EA region (Forwood, Andrews, Gough, Goodwin, etc) who I haven't seen for a while. Also, I did a few laps there a couple of years ago when I was getting back into racing and the track gave me the fear, but I reckon I would be OK on it now having doing regionals for the last 2 seasons.

better to be a has been, than a never has been :-*

do what ya like ;D
well well well, this is exactly the subject i,ve been trying to resolve with ratty
let me explain somthing buckers
my no1 is from the OSwinter series 06/07 (which i won fair n square),and i believe i shouldnt run it nomore seeing as we have a new OSseries no1,that being teharve, but the no1 i run is also from daggers and we have still yet to present ratty with his no1 for the summer, which he won fair n square.
i,m happy to revert back to my #69 for the OS and rock the no1 at daggers exclusively,i mean look at the good ol days,
how many number 1 pro,s was there in say 84/84?,you had clint miller, greg hill, stu thomsen etc but all no1,s with different affiliated bodies from the espn to the nba to the aba to the worlds etc etc etc and they all run them at the same facking time
i do apoligise if you hersden girls feel left out....................not
-
well i'm gonna ride me 1978 motomag so i can use this plate
and be a #1 as well - yeah baby :daumenhoch:

eh ?

Erm why has this thread gone in a slightly different direction. If anyone should be talking numbers it should be TK! He's the one that has to do all the work organising it so i think it should be down to him to sort it out and dish out the appropriate numbers on the day to make his life easier.
Its only a number for gods sake.
-
I think I'll always run Number 34 whatever ranking I get in whatever series because 34 is always going to be my number. :daumenhoch:
-
It would seem that some people are forgetting that this is meant to be fun.
-
F*ck that its berm warfare out there :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
I've had more fun this year than any other. My riding has progressed everytime I ride almost and to me that's fun. The more competetive I am the more fun I'm having.
-
I was joking about using my old No1, i always race with my lucky 48 No plate, even after i won the old skool class at hersden. Did'nt think i would get such a response from my off the wall comment.
By the way i had a regional no 1 back in the day, used it at the brits at derby ;D

i cant apoligise enough
i got the wrong end of the stick
i,m all embarrased now
my reply was not aimed at anyone or the good club n peeps of hersden
see ya,ll on the gate
n yes its all fun fun fun
the meets gonna be a stormer and i cant wait
seeing as im still a hersden virgin ;)
-
Thats ok ;)
-
Definite extra Humps bike on the gate for this meeting as I've just refitted the Hawk with bigger wheels off the Redline and 1.5" tyres so watch for the addition of "Humps2" in the entry list. My Redline bike-of-many-colours has just got a set of Araya 7X's with Shimano hubs in anodised red - it just gets worse!! Great to see Region11 has reappeared and that Bob_Acid is a possible - the Heath old regulars reunion. Just wants SanMarcoPizza to complete the set!!
Mike @ Dialled Bikes I completely understand your rationale for slumming it in EA - permission granted ;) .
Where's LucyLastic?? We need more females on the gates and she was looking confident towards the end of the last meeting she did.

What about Pro-Tec and FLC? they need to be there, a race isn't a race without the main men. :daumenhoch:
-
No more number ones aaaarrrrgh! I can see Debbie on the finish line having nightmares, If Vinoah could revert back to 69 just for that day I would be very grateful :knuppel2:
Thanks Muttley for sticking up for the organisers :daumenhoch:
TK

I'm hoping my wife will race as well. If she does she'll be number 43.
-
I am going to be there. I have had a long lay off from racing and need to get my fitness back, but hersden is the perfect place for that. :daumenhoch:
-
List updated (8.30 Mon am), now up to 23 riders. As it stands at the moment we have enough for semis, but just three or four more and we will run quarters, I know there's a couple of you floating around and not sure what you are up to, but you have til 7.30 this Saturday night. :daumenhoch:
TK
-
Tony, can you put the wife down as well. It's her birthday as well so I said I'd take her out somewhere she'd never forget. :LolLolLolLol:
She's never raced before or ridden round a track so go carefull with her. :daumenhoch:
She'll be riding this.

TK
-
TK, As I'm now south champ can I run 1S as well please :LolLolLolLol:
You lot are like a bunch of old women ::) >:D :LolLolLolLol:
-
No you bl ;D ;Ddy can't. I thought we put that one to bed last week. The only person that justifies that 1 plate at Hersden is Wolfy, and even then Zippy will have that off him at the end of the meet ;D
TK
-
Don't talk too soon Tony, it's looking good but anything can happen. It isn't in the bag yet. :LolLolLolLol:
-
just added my name to list :daumenhoch:
-
I see Sonic-1 has been nibbling around the Hersden posts recently. Any chance of a return?? Humps
-
Sonic,se, dialledbikes mike and a few others whose entry is still up in the air. Definate no shows are SE Mark, jason Harvey, Fiolas lc, gp4, Lucylastic and pickle. So maybe next time for those guys.
TK
-
Sonic is hoping to come but that could change depending on circumstances beyond his control. ;)
-
SE mark is going to a birthday bash and te-harve is going to a birthday bash in devon....as for the FLC who knows 8)
-
FLC is at a Christening so he's a definiate no.
