didnt they make a frame called "the sluggo"?

there was talk of "homeless" too,
i'd like to see a soul-bro built up!

ya the first Basics were Standard Bykes rejects. Then they redid their own frames and did the Andrew Faris model and the Sluggo. then Faris left Basic for Schwinn and they called is the new Small town hick.
I live in the Same city that The basic guys and Andrew Faris are from.

I went to visit Basic in 97. They had a small operation going on but it all seemed cool. I have still got a pair of Basic bars that I think were from that trip. We also spent some time in Seatle with that guy "Toast", who I think was riding for Basic at that time. He was a top man.

He hasn't ridden or been interested in BMX since the mid 90s and all there is in his lounge is a sofa TV and the Bike!!!!

I'm up for a trip to Canada Alex! I had a Menstrual for a short time in the mid nineties and HATED it!! CBCL rode it and can attest to it's shiteness!

I do have a pic of one however.....

A couple of the Union Guys rode Menstrual frames (John and Adam) and they both loved them. I think they had a real low BB

Not long ago I asked John what happened to his and he said he sold it for £10.

It was just called the Beater after Jason Davies' (who designed it) car that he kept Stateside.

There was a bike called the Wife Beater in the mid nineties, I think it was a TNT I may be wrong.

I'd love to see Larry Bull's Beyond frame. I contacted him last year, he assures me it's in his loft and will be staying there.

I think Jon Dye did all the original artwork for the menstural at the time .. I seem to remeber a story about S&M sending him some free shit in the post in return for his hep, but it got stuck at customs with a heafty bill?

you will never see a ketch (i hope) one of those awful early mid bike companies who made a pos prototype and wasted a good few grand on full page adverts in us ride  (was it a james shepherd article somewhere that said ride ran for about 2 years on ads from companies who ended up never making any actual product?)

Yep, as Chris said Ketch sucked! Craig Reynolds however made some fantastic race frames!
