how do you remove a sticker that has been fitted then sprayed over with clear? :(
can it be done or am i screwed :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
yep yer screwed, could try using a razor of craft knife round the edge then use heat (like one of those little jet cigarette lighters) over the decal to get it really hot n melt the glue n peel off with tweezers, but ya gonna be left with a decal shaped indent where you took it from, which you could sand over with really fine paper and re clear coat, but its gonna take patience to get it right
-
yep just wot i thought, bugger it and blast, thanx :LolLolLolLol: :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
put a bigger sticker over it. :LolLolLolLol:
-
thought about that,i got a big white roll of duct tape :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

do you just want to cover it? if so what colour is your frame?
-
not really,id prefer to remove it,(but the pri*k has sprayed over it so looks like a complete respray)its on a 1981 looptail quad i got from the states so wanted to do it right, worst bit is its only just been painted so only this sticker spoiling the frame?
but looks like im screwed and will have to get it painted :'( :'(
-
what about just rubbing down the clear coat where the sticker is, take the sticker off then get someone to spray over the bit where the sticker was with clear coat again and blending it in, I'm sure that can be done?
-
mmmmmmmmmmmm, didnt think of that :-[, suppose i could try that, got nothing to lose, cos if i mess it up i just paint it again :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
here goes then angle grinder out, goggles down 8) ,here goes >:D :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
