Sorry if I should have started a new thread for this one, but does anyone know anything or have any pics of a 'smoked' chrome Big Daddy?  at least I think they are called smoked ones??    They are chrome but have a golden tint?  Unless I dreamed this up, I think I know of one lurking about.

That, my little furry friend, is the Hoffman Bomber!  I had a stem with him engraved on it.  Wasn't around for long though...

I would assume its a 95 U.S. model.  Same era as my Condor as it had the 'bomber' dude on the downtube.  If it were me, I'd call it 95 1/2, last of the american ones   :)   No stamp guarantees it as a yank..

There he is!!!!  cheeky little bugger....

I'm sure he used to laugh at me    :-[

I don't think he went to Taiwan though, I believe they went straight to the H*B logo over there.

That's a nice one! The chrome looks good. The last of the u.s. big daddys had the shorter dropouts like this red one.

No it's a 1inch. I'm gonna use a 1inch super fork on it i think.  or find a Big daddy fork fork.

very nice mate  :smitten: can't wait to see this one built up .
does look like a '95 mod - like others have said because of the non stamped gusset . another way to check is the dropouts :10mm = pre '96
14mm=96-98 ( my taiwan mod also doesn't have 'a telly tubby ' on the downtube )

basically pedal was the king of the net ... then the owner decided to rebuild and rewrite all the software by hand and instead of testing it and etc... just deleted the old site and tryed to get all the users to become free workers to his site, telling him where all the problems with why the site doesnt work .... eventually everyone left (including myself) as the owner was basically a teenager trying to piss people about.

now days its global-flat in terms of flat related websites .....

I know of a guy in scotland called colin smith who may have some old standard pegs kicking arround .... he has a website called flavorproductions.co.uk
